FRUITGROWERS CONCERNED. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary lteporter.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. In conjunction with the members for Napier and Hawke's Bay, Mr. H. M. Christie (Government, Waipawa) gave notice to ask the Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, in the House of Representatives to-day, whether in view of the statement of tlie Minister of Finance that even if tlie fruitgrowers agreed 011 tlie principle of a guaranteed price it could not be made operative this year, lie was able to indicate whether the Government proposed to do anything this year to assist the fruit export industry and j those orcliardists who were in difficulties
