LADIES' ASSOCIATION. " i SECRETARY FOR 14 YEARS. 4 A special general meeting of the Auckland .Ladies' Hoc-key Association was lieldat the Y.W.C.A. last evening, Miss P. H. Dawson (vice-president) presiding in tli absence of Mr. L. C. Kent. All local cjubs were represented, with the exception of Clevedon. Arrangements were made in connection with the visit of the Fijian women's team to Auckland 011 August 15, when an Auckland province team will meet the visitors at Eden Park. Miss Alma Twiname, who has been lion, secretary to the association for the past 14 years and who gave notice of her desire to be released from office several weeks ago, was released from that position, Mrs. R. Hamlin being elected to fill the vacancy. f The resignation of Miss Edna Ushaw, assistant secretary for the foul months, was accepted with deep regret, but no new appointment was made. At an executive meeting held immediately after the general meeting, the points pained by the respective teams in the intermediate grade, as at the end of the se-ond round of games in the ordinary championship, were announced:— I Goals.
