THREE MONTHS' FIGURES.
PAYMENTS AND RECEIPTS
Details of payments made for tin three months to June 30 were disclosed at a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board this afternoon. As compared win the estimate the amount over-expended was £5510. The amount short in ordi nary receipts was £431, making a deficiency of £5947. The deficiency 0 l ast year was £4820. Payments for the period were greater than for the same three months of lastI ast year by £7530. while receipts had in. creased by £3818. A detailed tabulation of items con prising payments made shows that in the majority of cases actual payments were more than had been estimated. Fo the period £77,082 was spent. ' Some of the major items of expend!, ture are:—Hospital (including laundry! £39,508; outdoor relief, £11,009 (tlji, sum is not as great as budgeted for £12,750) ; Auckland Infirmary, £9003administration, £3180; rates and interest £3307; sanatoria, £2381. ' A significant fact is that while in 1934 the sum of £1425 was spent on unemployed relief none was spent this year or last year in the period under review, and none was budgeted for. The amount of receipts estimated for the year is set down at £304,517, and that proportion for three months £77,509. The actual amount received was £21,787. ,
