TRIALS AT ELLERSLIE.
THIS MORNING'S WORK
It was a quiet morning at Ellerslie and there was very little doing. No. 3 grass track, on which the pegs were out 10 feet, was open, the going being very heavy. lybalt was given an easy half-mile, which occupied 59 4-ss. He has made good progress since being recommissioned. Kilonsoa put plenty of dash into a workout over the same distance, which she covered in. , P er stable mate Landlubber was allotted a similar task, %vhieh took o3s. Master Brierly did strong work, averaging about 15s to the furlong for the last six Huntsman's Chorus got to the end of half a mil« in 55 4-ss. On the sand Roman Mascot did strong work bein ; timed to run her last seven furlongs 12. 1 - 3G - i«ldy Boy (T. Williams) and iving Ara (Baker) were companions over four hurdles in the centre. They both jumped well,- Teddy Boy pleasing moat.
