POWER SUPPLY LINE.
EXTENSION TO WARKWORTH. ESTIMATED COST £10,000. In his report to the Waiteinata Electric Power Board yesterday the manager, Mr. A. Main, said that guarantees totalling £2007 gross had been received from 189 residents between Taliekeroa and Warkworth (inclusive), via Ahuroa and Kaipara Flats. The engineer's estimate of the capital cost of the line to give supply was £10,000. As the guarantees were in order, and the revenue sufficient, lie recommended the immediate authorisation of the construction of the line. Providing there was no unforeseen hold-up, lie anticipated giving the supply at Warkworth by Christmas. The board authorised the construction of the line.
