HULK BREAKS ADRIFT.

TOWED FROM WELLINGTON.

ROSAMOND AND IvALINGO

The Union Company's hulk Rosamond which the company's steamer KiUingo was towing from Wellington to Auckland, parted her tow line at midnight on Saturday in a northerly gale when the vessels were in the Bay of Plenty between Cape Runaway and White Island.

The Kalingo stood by all night and yesterday the wind changed to the south-west and moderated. The Rosamond was picked up and taken to Hides Bay, where tho tow line was adjusted, and the vessels left this morning for Auckland. They are expected to arrive at noon to-morrow. "
