NEW ZEALAND COAST.

TEN YEARS' SURVEY WORK.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WELLINGTON, this clay.

References were made recently to serious errors in charts of the K"ew Zealand coast, ancl to a coming hydrographic survey, which will correct tlic information available to mariners. The Admiralty has informed the Government that their survey ship, the Endeavour, is to be made available for the work, and she will probably reach New Zealand in April next year.

The survey involves a considerable amount of detailed "work, and it is estimated that it cannot be completed within ten years.
