SYMONDS STREET SMASH.
For nearly half an hour after a collision between a traincar and a motor lorry in Symonds Street, near the corner of City Road, this afternoon, traffic moved between parallel barricades of cases knocked from the lorry. No one was injured in the accident, which resulted from the tram striking the lorry in the rear as both were pro" ceeding towards the city.
