MAORI FAREWELL.

TRIBUTE TO MR. JORDAN. Considerable colour should be added to the scene at the Prince's wharf tomorrow when Mr. W. J.-Jordan, M.P., leaves by the Niagara to take up his position as ' High Commissioner in London for the Dominion. A party of some 50 Maoris will be present to bid Mr. Jordan good-bye in their own fashion. The ceremony has been arranged by Mrs. Mere Newton. Most of the SO girls from the Queen Victoria Maori Girls' College will be taking part, as well as Maoris from OrakcTi. Chants will be given and songs of farewell sung.
