HUGHES AND TUCKEY LOSE. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. In the Anglo-American lawn tennis match, which is being played in Davis Cup conditions at Eastbourne, J. D. Budge anel B. Grant defeated G. P. Hughes anel C. R. D. Tuckev, 6—i, 6 —2, 10—8. The losers comprise Britain's eloubles pair for the challenge round against the winner of the Davis Cup inter-zone filial, which commences at Wimbledon tomorrow. Heinrich Kleinschroth, manager of the German Davis Cup team, teilel the Associated Press that although Henkel practised half an hour to-day he lias not completely recovered from his illness. It will not be elecieleel whether he will play against Australia until a eloctor visits him to-morrow morning.
