BYRD'S SECOND TRIP.
STIRRING FILMS RELEASED. Actual pioneering adventure is to a great degree impossible iti this age of bridged oceans and air frontiers, but RearAdmiral Richard Evelyn Byrd, the only living explorer who has flown over both poles, either by ice or air, found plenty of it in the course of his second Antarctic scientific expedition last year. A comprehensive motion picture study of the voyage from America to Antarctica was made, and this production, divided for releasing purposes into two sections, is to be shown at the Regent Theatre next week and the following week. The two portions of the film, complete in themselves, were projected before a small audience yesterday. The splendid camera work of activities amid the snowfields, the unloading of the supply ships, the discovery and construction of the sub-snow township of Little America, the thrilling aerial reconnaissance flights, the terror of winter night and blizzards, the long vigil by Byrd himself in a lone advance post and his narrow escape from death, saved by the terrific rescue attempts made by his men against explicit orders —all these and more incidents help to make the picture a splendid record of achievement. The film bears the descriptive title, "At' the Bottom of the World."
