HISTRIONIC CLUB.
OPENING DANCE HELD-
A different note ha 3 been struck in the setting and furnishing of the premises engaged for the Histrionic Club's series of weekly dances held in the Society of Arts Hall, Kitchener Street. The reception lounge and dance hall looked exceptionally attractive under subdued lighting from the tangerine coloured chandeliers, a gayer note being provided by Japanese lanterns suspended among hanging baskets. The guests were received by the hostess, Miss Pearl Wilson, who wore turquoise blue panne velvet with a halo of the same colouring, and by Mr. Norton Hammond, organiser. Miss Margaret O'Connor and Mr. Ted Priestley delighted the guests with an exhibition of ballroom dancing. A tap dance in trio was presented by pupils of the Valeska School of Dancing. Among those present were: Mesdames Norton Hammond,. H. Hammond, H. Milward, Outram Horspool, L. F. Home, J. Mac Lean, 0. Wilde, Misses C. L. Chalmers, Nell Lush,' Margaret O'Connor, Winifred Edwards, Phil Peacock, Joan Moody, E. Howard, L. Heine, Elsie Parker j Campbell, Joyce Codd, Cameron, T. Watson, L. G. Steplison, and Munro.
