BRASS BAND DANCE.

An enjoyable dance was organised recently by the New Lyrfn Brass Band. Tlio .musical scores . were rendered by the full band, ■ with the exception of .one or two dances, arid* these were catered for .by ail orchestra of. selected players from the band itself. The musical arrangements were entirely in the. hands of Mr. 11, W. Pepper, the conductor. This was the first time over a number of years that a full brass band has rendered"-the music for a dance in Auckland. A cushion presented by Mrs. Bishop was won by Mr. J. Glover. Mr. J. Elliott made an excellent master of ceremonies.
