ANNUAL BALL.

PAPAKURA R.S.A,

A military atmosphere pervaded the Regent Theatre 011 Thursday evening, when the annual ball of the Papakura Returned Soldiers' Association was held. I'lags of the Allied nations were suspended over the dance floor, and the names of battles fought in the Great War were prominent 011 shields arranged around the walls. The orchestra was fitted out in khaki uniforms and tin lids. A feature of the supper room decorations were" miniature Union Jacks in bowls of greenery and a scheme of red, white and blue streamers hung above the tables.
