FANCY DRESS DANCE.
A plain and fancy dress dance, held in the Titirangi Park kiosk on Wednesday evening by the Parau Progressive Association in aid of the Parau Hall fund, proved enjoyable. The kiosk was tastefully decorated, and the general atmosphere during the evening was one of gaiety. Li addition to a programme pPmodern'and old-time dancing, several df those present contributed vocal and rtiusical items. The prize- winners were: Best fancy costumes, Miss Boot (Turkish peasant), Mr. Dormer (Chinaman); Monte Carlo, Mrs. Hockenhull; spot waltz, Mr. and Mrs. Rowell.
