CIVIC FAREWELL.
TO BE GIVEN MR. JORDAN.
A decision to accord a civic farewell to Mr. W. J. Jordan. M.P. for Manukau, on the occasion of his leaving to i'® the appointment of High Commission" in London and as a member of tn Council of the League of Nations made at a meeting in the oneh "?° Borough Council Chambers, last evening. The Mayor of Oneliunga, Mr. J. ± a ' presided. A committee of nine * appointed, with power to add, to arrange for the function, and it was recommended that Mr. Jordan be given an ilhiminateo address. Mr. L. A. Norman, acting-town clerk of Oneliunga, was appointed secretary, and Mr. E. J. Higgins treasurer.
