RESISTED CONSTABLE.

i STRUGGLE IN TEAROOMS. Peter Cunningham (30) was chargcd before Mr. W. B. McKoan, S.M.. in the Police Court this morning with being drunk in a tearoom, and with resisting Constable Moore in the execution qf his fluty. Sub-Inspector Fox said that at fi.35 p.m. yesterday accused was in a drunken condition in the tearooms, and was annoying the waitresses. A constable was sent for, and had to use considerable force to eject accused. Ho struggled and caught hold of the tables and chairs. He did not atteriipt to assault the constable. He had four previous convictions. Accused pleaded guilty, and Mr. ■Robinson, who appeared for him, said that he whs a sick man. He was very sorry for the trouble that he had caused. What happened was due to being under the influence of drink. The accused was fined 3/ for drunkenness, and £2 on the other charge. '
