SKI CHAMPIONSHIP.

TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. TO BE HELD IN SEPTEMBER. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. A decision to hold the Taranaki ski championship meeting in Snow Valley, on the northern side of Mount Egniont, 011 September 12 and 13, was made at the annual meeting of the Taranaki Provincial Ski Committee at Stratford last night. There were 21 representatives of Taranaki clubs present, Mr. R. Syme, of Havvera, presiding. Mr. A. W. White suggested that the championship meeting should bo held on the Stratford ground, but Mr. T. Wright moved an amendment that the championship should be held in rotation on the grounds of the Stratford, Mount Egniont and Taranaki Clubs, this year's championships to be held in Snow Valley. It was decided to recommend the committee to investigate the possibilities of holding a ski jump and cross-country race apart from the championship meeting.
