BADMINTON.

A GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP.

CENTRAL BEATS REMUERA,

Most games were close, and all were interesting, when Central defeated Remuera in the Auckland badminton championship. Botli teams were minus one of their best players, M. L. Wilson, of Central, and It. Hull, of Kemuera, being at present with J. F. Devlin on his tour of the South Island.

Spencer, with Adams, showed to advantage in the men's doubles, and Weir, partnered by Lewis, a promising young player, was responsible for some good work. All the men's doubles were well contested. Misses Itamsay and Vt'acle shone in the ladies doubles, Misses Brodie and Harrison being the better Kelmiera pair.
