RICCARTON HORSES.

STREAMEIJTE'S GOOD DISPLAY. PUNCHESTOWN AND MONASTIC. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") C'HRTSTCHURCH, this day. Although yesterday was an ojf morning on the Ricearton tracks so far as performers on the flat were concerned, the junipers provided plenty of interest.

Streamline and Ha ere Tonu set the ball rolling. They went over five hurdles going at a sound pace, and giving a good display. Streamline is building up into a fine hurdler.

Punchestown and Monastic gave a firstclass exhibition over eight steeplechase fences, with pace on all the way.

Nocturnus jumped in his usual good style over the three fences down the straight, while giving the lead to Mr. L. J. Fechney'e gelding, Bynthe Ace. The latter, a novice jumper yet, shaped as if lie would make a good steeplechaser with experience.

Fiord went well when sent twice over the two pony hurdles.

Joppa jumped once round the fences safely at a steady pace.

Free Air was brought from New Brighton, and gave a good display while jumping one round of the fences. She will leave for Wingatui to-morrow.

H. Nurse has engaged G. Ridgway to ride Polydora in jumping events later in the winter, commencing at Trentham next month. The mare will be raced on the flat at the Dunedin meeting, and she will be schooled when she returns to Riccarton next week.

J. S. Shaw has altered his pians, and he will take Greek Gold to the Dunedin meeting. Shaw will leave for Wingatui to-morrow morning, taking four horses, the other three being Pahu, Royal Gallant and Dollar Bill.
