AMALGAMATION.
MT. WELLINGTON-PANMURE. PROPOSAL FOR CONFERENCE. The Mount Wellington Road Board and Panmure Township Road Board met last night in the Mount Wellington Road Board rooms. The question of amalgamation was introduced and after preliminary discussion a resolution \va> passed that the board in conference consider the amalgamation of the two districts under the jurisdiction of Mount Wellington Board and Panmure Board, and that the status and designation of the amalgamated areas be discussed at a future conference. In connection with the Public Hall it was decided to apply t. the Education Board and the Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Fraser, through the member for the district, Mr. W. J. Jordan, to have the old school building at Panmure made available for use as a public hall.
