FLIGHT TO ENGLAND.

MACHINE IN READINESS. CHICHESTER AND HERRICK. The overhaul of the Puss Moth aeroplane in which Mr. F. C. Chichester, of Wellington, and Mr. F. D. Herrick, of Hawke's Bay, intend to attempt a flight from Sydney to London, by way of Japan, has now been completed at the premises of the Air Survey and Transport Company, Ltd., at Hobsonville, and the machine is awaiting transport to the city, where it will be placed on the Wanganella, which leaves for Sydney on Friday. The engine has been given a top overhaul and the wings and ftiselafre have been thoroughly overhauled. A bank and turn indicator has been fitted and an extra 10-gallon petrol tank will be added in Sydney, thus giving the machine a range of nearly 800 miles. The wings of the 'plane have been .removed and crated to facilitate transport on the Wanganella, and the fuselage lias been packed in the ordinary way. The bodywork has been painted blue and silver.
