Mr. C. M. Richwhite left by the Limited express l.ist evening en route to Christchurch. Mr. C. E. Eskell, New Zealand manager for Universal Films, Limited, arrived in Auckland this morning by train. Mr. Ernest Davis, Mayor of Auckland, and Mr. K. L. Usmar, were passengers by this afternoon's express for Wellington. Mr. Robert Boulter, of Wellington, British Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, arrived in Auckland yesterday and is a guest at the Grand Hotel. Mr. G. R. Herron, of Southland, was appointed president at the annual meeting of the Dominion Group Herd Testing Federation. (P.A., Napier.) Mr. D. R. Rutherford, who has been director of education in Western Samoa for the past 18 years, will retire from the service at the end of the year. Pastor J. L. McEllhany, of Washington, America, 4ias been elected world president of the Seventh Day Adventist movement. He was formerly stationed in New Zealand. Mr. J. Mclvor, of Nelson, who was recently appointed inspector of factories in the Hamilton district, lias taken up his duties. Mr. P. Wilson, the former inspector at Hamilton, has been transferred to Christchurch. Mr. M. B. Iggulden, produce manager of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Limited, has been appointed manager of the Hamilton branch of the company, and will take up his new duties next month. Mr. Brian Dunningham, who has been studying international relations over-] seas and the work of the League of Nations at Geneva, will be a returning passenger to Auckland to-morrow by the Wanganella. During his tour Mr. Dunningham has visited Canada, Great Britain and the Continent.
