FAREWELL SOCIAL.
RAMARAMA FUNCTION. Residents in the Ramarama district assembled in large numbers *-in the Public Hall last Friday evening to bid farewell to Messrs. R. Armiger and Sneddon, proprietors of an old-estab-lished business in ,Ramarama, and their wives and families. Mr. J. Dufty presented tlie guests of the evening with a substantial cheque on behalf of the residents, Mr. I). A. Bingley, chairman of the Opaheke-Drury Ratepayers' Association, eulogised Mr. Armiger's valuable work in securing improvements for the district. Mr. J. Brooks spoke on behalf of the Ramarama Sports Club. Mr. Dennis Slieard contributed several songs which were much appreciated. Dance music was supplied by Les. Ballard's Orchestra. Mr. J.
