OBITUARY.
MRS. R. H. SHEPPARD. The death occurred recently in Auckland of Mrs. R. H. Sheppard, of Tairua, East Coast. She was for many years a resident of Devonport, where she was a prominent member of the Methodist Church, and also took an interest in various social organisations. During the Great War Mrs. Sheppard was a V.A.D. worker in the convalescent home at North Head, and she had a long association with the St. John Ambulance. During her residence in Tairua, Mrs. Sheppard was greatly esteemed for her kindness and hospitality, and her passing was keenly felt, especially by the Maoris of the district. She is survived by her husband, Sergeant-Major Sheppard, late R.N.Z.A., two sons, Messrs. Bert Sheppard, of Devonport, and Roderick, of Tairua, and two daughters, Mrs. T. Rowe, of Napier, and Miss 0. Sheppard, of Tairua.
