GEO. COOK WILL. CARRY ON. "SILVER JUBILEE" AS FIGHTER. LONDON, June 9. The veteran Australian boxer George Cook, who was defeated at Cardiff by Ben Fooril on June 6, says: "I want at least one more contest, and do 7iot care with whom. I have been boxing for 23 V 4 years, and should like to complete my silver jubilee in the ring."
Mrs. Cook, who has managed her husband's contests for years, says she wanted him to retire when Foord knocked him out, which is" only the second time in 300 bouts. ''However, I agree," said Mrs. Cook, "that my husband cannot end his career like that." . PLUTO-MUDGWAY RETURN. The Auckland Boxing Association has arranged a return contest between Cyril Pluto,of Australia, and Neville Mudgway, of Waihi, to take place at the Town Hall on Monday week. The following preliminary boilt« will be decided: Professional contest (six three-minute rounds), Frank Htitchine (Eltham) v. C. Saunders (Hamilton). Special Amateur Contest (six twominute rounds), Percy Kelly (Auckland) v. E. Bongard (Hamilton). Light-heavy-weight amateur contest, M. McHugh (Auckland) v. S. Coe (Whakatane). Emergency amateur contest. E. Estall (V. Hogg's gymnasium) v. R. Xixon (J. Davey's gymnasium).
