WEPT AT SENTENCE.

WRANGEL ISLAND CHIEF. (Received 9.30 a.m.) MOSCOW, May 24. The former director of Wrangel Island, I. D. Simencliuk, was sentenced to death for various atrocities. He wept when he heard the verdict. Startseff, described as Simenchuk's "man Friday," who was found guilty of murder, was also sentenced to death. He smoked a cigarette while those in Court applauded the verdict.
