WELCOMED TO CITY. VICTORIA COLLEGE RUGBY XV. CHANGE IN AUCKLAND TEAM. The members of the Wellington University (Victoria College) Bugby football team, which is to,, play Auckland tomorrow afternoon at Eden Park, and who arrived by the first express, were entertained this morning at Milne!and Choyce's tearoom.' Professor J. A. Algie, president of the Auckland University lootball Club, and Mr. Harry Frost, president of the Auckland: Rugby • Union, made brief speeches of welcome. Mr. J. D. Mackay, the old- New Zealand Universities' rep. wing-threequ.v.ter, 'replied on behalf of his men. • . Included among those present were Professor J. A. Bartrum, vice-president of the club, Messrs. Arthur Baker (chairman of the Auckland Rugby r ,Union), and Arthur Lucas (president of the Rugby Referees Association), who will control to-morrow's matcli. Owing to a strained tendon Derek Lewis is unable to field to-morrow,, and- his place in the Auckland three-quarter line will be taken by G. G. Chater. Although Mr. Arthur Keehe, the Auckland representative rover from 1923 to 1927, will act with Mr. Mackay as selector of the North Island Universities fifteen to meet the Southerns, it is not mm tended to pick the team until after the Victoria v. Massey College (Palmerston North) game on June 11.
