BENEVOLENT BEQUEST.

The residue of the estate of Mr. Alfred Abraham Phillips, of Auckland, has been bequeathed by him to the Auckland Chevni Kadiah Benevolent Society. Mr. Phillips' death occurred on the Wanganolla en April 20 when the steamer was at sea. The estate has been valued for probate purposes at under £4000, and portions of ; .t have been bequeathed pnvately.
