SOUTHERN EXCHANGES.
TO-DAY IN CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. This morning's call was one of the quietest for a long time, with only two sales on 'Change, Commercial Banks losing 4d and Mount Lyells 3d. Sellers were more numerous than buyers in nil sections, particularly among the banks, where New South Wales were wanted at £32 12/6 and Commercials at 19/8, otherwise all sellers.. Buyers of South British offered £4 8/ and for New Zealands £3 1/. In the miscellaneous section Kauris were again easier, with unsupported sellers at £1 2/6. Quotations generally showed a slight easing tendency, but not much real alteration from last week's levels. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day.
