KOWHAI SCHOOL.
ANNUAL COMMITTEE REPORT.
IMPROVEMENT OP GROUNDS. The annual meeting of the Kowhai School Committee will be held on Wednesday evening. The annua] report states that the committee has been endeavouring, to put the playing areas in a more satisfactory state, also that during the year a special area was set aside as a rose garden. A system of wiring had been installed in the principal's study, enabling him to keep touch with every room in the school. The system was designed by the staff and committee with the object of ultimately transmitting broadcast programmes to various class rooms. All the class rooms had been equipped for plugging of loudspeakers, four now being in use. The school St. John Ambulance division has been operating during the year, and at the recent examination the majority of the Kowhai members passed the set test. The following nominations have been received for six parents' representatives on the committee: Mesdames E. A. Smythe, A. Aldridge, N. M. Molesworth, L. E. Hull, Messrs. L. E. Rhodes, E. H. Page, F. M. Ball, A. A. Buckley, L. E. Falkner, F. A. May, C. F. Quinneil, W. R. Perrott, E. McDougall, J. L. Lincoln, F. McGeehan. I
