OPENING DANCE.
LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN.
The Legion of Frontiersmen held the first of their series of fortnightly dances on Saturday night in their rooms. Streamers in green and blown, the A squadron colours,.adorned the hall, and the walls were hung with flags of all nations. The officer in charge of tli-J social activities, Mr. W. K. Francis, received the guests and Mr. Fred Wilson was in chajge of the floor arrangements. Among those present were:—Mrs. Fred Wilson, who wore pea.-li satin beaute; Mrs. Norton Hammond, del blue romaine; Mrs. J. S\Viblack l'itig velvet; ill's. R. Hammond, geranium red windswept satin; Mrs. E. F. Road, black niatelasse; Mrs. N. Moritz, lemon talfeta; Mis. R. Ptirteous, leaf greet! Chantilly lace; Mrs. W. Palmer, black velvet and lace; Mrs. L. Buckley, turquoise blue crinkle crepe; Mrs. R. Daverne, dusky pink crinkle crepe; Mrs. 15. Budd, black crepe de chine; Mrs. P. McLelian, black figured crepe; Mrs. W. C. MeC'ombe, black Chantilly lace; Mrs. R. It. Brazil, powder blue georgette; Airs. R. Haunken, black souple Satin aitd georgette; Mrs. P. McCarthy, birch green crepe sttedfe; Airs. L. Grogan, Marina blue crepe and lace; Airs. J. Robertson, blat'k Crepe de chine; Mrs. W. 13. Gwellan, sea green crepe and velvet; Aliss H. Switzer, white floral organdie; Aliss E. C'oombes, black taffeta; Aliss Joy Frauds, Saracen red chiffon velvet; Aliss Doreen Alathieson, shell pink taffeta.
