OPENING MEETING.
PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB. The first meeting of the season of tlv3 Pakiirnnga Hunt Glub took place in the Pakuranga Hall 011 Saturday morning, when many members assembled in spite of the bad weather. The master, Mr. H. Bullock-Webster, provided luncheon for the members and farmers of the surrounding districts. He later explained that owing to the very boisterous weather it would not be fair either to the horses or to the farmers' property to hunt that day. Those present took their horses for a short run before returning home. Members of the committee present were: —Commander D. A. Bingley (fieldmuster), Dr. A. McGregor Grant (deputyfieldmaster), Dr. A. Jiisdell Moore, Captain Brookes, Messrs. A. G. Quartley, "VV. T. Duder. Owen Self, Martin Johnston, A. Milieu, H. A. P. Walker, C. Allen, A. E. Watkins and the secretary, Mr. R. D. Neale.
