AIR TRAGEDY.
SECRECY IN GERMANY. it (Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, May 1. The recent air crash this week over which a "hush-hush" policy has been adopted by the Nazi authorities, resulted in the death of the air "ace," Major von Liehteufels. Fifteen persons, not 11 as stated earlier, are believed to have been killed in the crash, which occurred in Bavaria. NO HITCH IN PARLEYS. EMPIRE AIR SERVICES. ! (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON", May 1. A record speed of S5 miles ail hour on New South Wales was attained by the Newcastle "Fiver ' during a recent run from Sydney to Newcastle. The 104 miles was covered in 2 hours 10 minutes at "an average speed of 48 m.p.li.
