HAS HAD HIS DAY.
In both races that Billy Boy contested at the Auckland meeting he failed to show any of his former dash, and it is quite apparent that the old fellow is not as good as formerly. As a jumper Billy Bov had few superiors, and his successes include a Grand National Steeples, also the W" 1 - lington Steeplechase (which lie won on two occasions) and the Waikato Hunt Cup. He also beat a strong field in the Brighton Hurdle Ric° at tbp A"-Viand autumn meeting in 1933. in which Emancipation and Royal Visitor filled the minor places.
