ST. JOHN BRIGADE.

GRAND PRIOR'S BADGE

Appointments in the St. John Ambulance Brigade have been approved ,by the chief commissioner for the brigade in the Dominion.

They are:—Tauranga division: R. Youngman, divisional superintendent. National reserve division: F. Davidson, divisional superintendent. Pukekohe nursing division: Mrs. M. M. Boyd, lady divisional storekeeper. Onehunga cadet nursing division: J. R. Thompson, cadet sergeant. Auckland District.—Tauranga ambulance division: Win. H. Lowe, ambulance officer; A. Dinsdale, sergeant; E. C. Hammond, corporal. Te Awamutu ambulance division: H. Holt, divisional superintendent; T. L. Coupland, divisional secretary. Matamata ambulance division: L. G. Edwards, corporal. Huntly nursing division: Miss M. D. Moyes, lady divisional treasurer.

Cadet proficiency badges have been ] awarded to the following cadets in the Auckland division who have qualified in the subjects set against their respective names:—Auckland cadet nursing division: Cadets M. Gilmore, S. Ashley-Hunter and E. Port (child welfare, knowledge of the order, physical exercises, clerical ability). Oneliunga cadet nursing division: Cadets J. Thompson, Violet Caughey and J. Potter (home nursing, homecraft, public service, child welfare). Epsom cadet nursing division: Cadet R. R. Frater (home nursing, hygiene, swimming, handicraft), Cadet S. Collins (public service, hygiene, handicraft, swimming). His Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught, Grand Prior, has approved of the issue of the Grand Prior's Cadet badge to the following cadets in this Dominion: — Andrew J. Paterson, Auckland cadet ambulance division; Phyllis Hodge, Brooklyn cadet nursing division; John Dodgson, Christchurch cadet ambulance division; Hazel Smith, Winnie Rogers, Doreen Tapling, Eileen Wilson, Christchurch cadet nursing division; William G. Whitmore, Christchurch No. ' 3 cadet ambulance division.
