NEW ZEALAND RECORDS BROKEN. Mr. .T. Elliott, lion, secretary to the New Zealand W«ight-llftcrs' Association, lias just received from Mr. I. >1. Mitchell, one of the association's Wellington roferees, an oflicial report of attempts made on INew Zealand records in the amateur featherweight class, by Mr. K. J. Webb, of \\ ellington, at the Kelvin Physical Culture School, on Thursday last. Mr. Webb was successful in breaking the following records, (lie new records being given in parentheses: Rectangular fix, 631b <71» : t "' n clean and military p.rCBS,-1101b (11-alb). two hands snatch, lO.ilb (118 .gib) > two hands forward curl,' 851b (9211b). The following New Zealand records were also established by Mr. Webb: Pull over and press legs straight, IOOMbI pull over and press with shoulder bridge, 200ilb.
