HOSPITAL BOARD RELIEF.

I hasten to correct your correspondent "Silent Partisan" re tlie above matter and to give credit to whom credit is due. Your correspondent says, "I would like to see Mrs. Dreaver's wise suggestion given effect to, namely, that "Hospital Board rations for the aged and infirm should be obtainable f roni grocers in the various suburban districts.' After perusing the files at the Hospital Board office, I find that minutes taken at the relief committee's special meeting to devise some better method of grocery supplies to the recipients of relief for the incoming twelve months (a committee that Mrs. Dreaver is not on) show that it was Mr. W. G. Mulholland (who is a member of the committee) who mada the suggestion of the "open order" system to the recipients and was able to convince the whole of the committee (with the exception of Mr. Parvin) that it would be satisfactory to all concerned. Further, that it was Mrs. Anderton who moved the resolution in committee, and when forwarded to the board it was agreed to by the whole board (again with the exception of Mr. Parvin). 1 trust that "Silent Partisan" will now know where the "wise suggestion" came from and no doubt will be pleased to know that the new system as approved by the board will commence on April 1. WAITEMATA.
