Y.W.C.A.'S LOSS.

The Young Women's Christian Association has suffered a great loss by the death of Miss Edith Hawkins, who for the last seven years held the position of cafeteria secretary.

Miss Hawkins joined the staff of the association in Dunedin in 1925, arid later came to Auckland. Her domestic science degree was taken in England prior to her arrival in New Zealand. She had also studied various, aspects of that work in America. Her capable management of the Auckland cafeteria had brought her a large circle of friends, and she will be greatly missed.

Members of the Y.W.C.A. board of directors, cafeteria committee, friends and secretarial staff were present at the memorial service and funeral.
