TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY.

An enjoyable party was given by Mr. and Mrs. j. M. Buchanan, of Green Lane, to celebrate tlie coming of age of their daughter Doreen. The Green Lane Social Hall was used for the occasion, the hall and supper tables being artistically arranged in choice blooms and foliage. Mrs. Buchanan received the guests in a graceful frock of black chiffon, and the guest of honour wore a charming gown of gold novelty silk, trimmed with gold braid.

Churches, floral silk taffeta; Miss K. Galvin, floral taffeta, with organdie frills; Miss M. Fergerson, Marina blue georgette; Miss J. Parker ,■ pale pink crinkle crepe; Miss M.
