TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY.
An enjoyable party was given by Mr. and Mrs. j. M. Buchanan, of Green Lane, to celebrate tlie coming of age of their daughter Doreen. The Green Lane Social Hall was used for the occasion, the hall and supper tables being artistically arranged in choice blooms and foliage. Mrs. Buchanan received the guests in a graceful frock of black chiffon, and the guest of honour wore a charming gown of gold novelty silk, trimmed with gold braid.
Among those present were:—Miss E. McCarthy, who wore love bird green and silver braid; Miss M. Jones, mauve crepo de chine and silver lace; Mrs. T. Jones, Marina blue wool georgette; Mrs. R. Butler, black crepe de shine; Mies J. Sutherland, black chiffon; Mies C. Fairhead, white georgette; Miss J. Bourdot, floral crepe de chine; Miss M. Sutherland, apple green lace; Miss K. Lendrum, navy and white silk; Miss M. Tozer, powder blue georgette; Miss C. Rowland, honey lace and brown chiffon; Miss J. Lendrum, lemon and white marocain; Miss T. Churches, floral silk taffeta; Miss K. Galvin, floral taffeta, with organdie frills; Miss M. Fergerson, Marina blue georgette; Miss J. Parker ,■ pale pink crinkle crepe; Miss M. Rotliville, pale pink georgette; Miss P. Briggs, black f crepe de chine; Miss N. Lane, sky blue crepe de shine; Mrs. B. j Sutherland, navy and white crepe de chine; Miss M. Keady, floral chiffon.
