LABOURER'S DEATH.

WHILE UNDER ANAESTHETIC. EXTRACTION OF TEETH. A labourer, Ernest Martin Heap, aged 51, married, died at the Auckland Hospital yesterday afternoon while under an anaesthetic for the extraction of his teeth. An inquest was opened this afternoon by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., and adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been taken.

Heap, it was stated, was employed as a co-operative contractor at the Hobsonville Air Base, and was living in camp at the base. On February C he was struck by a fall of papa rock while excavating. Two days later he saw a doctor, and was later admitted to the Auckland Hospital.
