MANUKAU ROVERS CLUB.

The report, presented at the annual meeting of the Manukau Rovers Rugby Football Club, stated that last season the club was represented by 11 teams in the various grades. The failure or the senior A fifteen was ascribed to injuries and sickness in the ranks of the players, together with the loss of the team's coach and captain, D. K. lleazlewood. The success of the senior B team in winning the championship of its grade and similar meritorious performances by the intermediate and junior boys' teams were favourably commented upon. Special reference was made to the success of the junior boys' C team, which was awarded the Bert Palmer Cup. The club also won for the lirst time the Auckland Rugby Union's silver football trophy, awarded to the champion club of I lie season. Congratulations were extended to C. S. Pepper on his selection in the All Black team. The statement of accounts showed the club to be in a strong financial position, in spite of heavy expenditure incurred in building and equipping a modern clubhouse and training pavilion. Messrs. H. Frost and A. Baker, representing the Auckland Rugby Union, congratulated the club on .ts excellent position. During the evening, the club's treasurer, Mr. R. Helghway, was elected a life member. The election of officers resulted, as follows:—Patron, Mr. W. ,T. Jordan, M.P. : vice-patrons, Messrs. J. D. Twentyman, \V. Miller and J. F. Ewen ; president, Mr. AV. Klrkliam ; vice-presidents, same as last year; captain, Mr. C. A. Agnew; treasurer, Mr. R. Helghway; delegates to the Auckland Rugby Union, Messrs. E. V. Sutherland, O. S. Harvey and R. Heighwa.v; delegates to junior boys' board, Mr. T. Cowley ; junior management board representative, Mr. H. S. Rowlands; assistant secretary, Mr. R. McCarten; committee, Messrs. W. Bond, R. Owens, R. Ansell, 11. Strong, J. Brimble, A. Bankart, J. Davenport, G. Elliott, 0. S. Harvey; auditor, Mr. V. Kirk.
