FRUIT MARKET.
PEACH PRICES COLLAPSE. With the arrival of larger quantities of peaches and tomatoes oil the city fruit markets to-day, prices slumped considerably. Some of the peaches were windfalls, but a fair proportion was of good quality. Yesterday the demand for the fruit in bettor condition was keen, supplies being fairly short. By next week, however, supplies of both peaches and tomatoes coming forward will be shorter as the effect of the storm becomes fully felt, and prices will accordingly rise again.
