FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to tlie "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton. Light to moderate south-westerly winds, veering gradually to -west and north. Weather for most part fine and warm, but a few isolated local showers probable. Seas slight to moderate. A rather shallow depression is moving on to the southern part of the Dominion. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, south-west, moderate; sea, moderae; weather cloudy but fine, with light showers; visibility good. Barometer! steady.
