South Canterbury Score 219— Allcott Gets 74. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, this day. The weather was glorious when South Canterbury, with three wickets down for 48, resumed their first innings against the M.C.C. team. At luncheon the home side had lost fivo wickets for 107, but in the afternoon they succeeded in taking their tally to 219 for 230 minutes' play to gain a first innings lead. The Englishmen in their second Innings scored 278 for six wickets (Mit-chell-Innes 90 not out, Barber 50, Griffith 32). The game was drawn. Scores:— M.C.C.
