A PRAYER.

O Thou who art from everlasting to everlasting, without beginning or end of days, with the passing of another year we are reminded that the shadows of our evening are hastening on, and that we are a stage .nearer the time when we shall be partakers of Thine eternity. Mercifully forgive us for having left undone so much that we ought to have done, and for having done so many things that we ought not to have done, and so replenish us with heavenly grace that we may be better men and women in the days that lie before us, whether they be many or few, and strong in the confidence of Thine eternal love. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
