TRAM MEN'S UNIFORMS.

What's all this pother about the uniform of our tramwaymen? I hope they won't take it too seriously. 2s T o doubt they -will admit that, taking it all in all, they have a pretty good job, steady, and, as wages go, well paid, with less work than, say, London or Glasgow men, who have upstair collecting and aa many as a dozen different tickets to punch. _ These ' uniforms cost a lot of money and just to scrap them would be rather extravagant^ln. these days. I would urge the men not to inind what others eay, but just wear the uniforms and trust that by next summer a tetter design will be evolved. D.J., RATEPAYER.
