DANCE RECITAL.

A successful dance recital was presented to a full house on Tuesday evening at the Scots Hall, when Miss Rona Edwards presented over sixty of her pupils. The costumes worn by all the performers from the tiniest tot to the senior girls were attractive in every way. The colour schemes were harmonious and showed individuality of conception. The opening scene was a seaside one, and with coloured umbrella and beach chairs and canoe together with the dancers, who were attired in costumes suitable for the scene, made a gay spectacle. An interlude of variety was the "Peeps of many lands," when dancers dressed in national costume interpreted the dances of each nation. Particularly impressive was the Dream World Garden, when a presentation of the Old World characters was gracefully performed. The "Rendezvous," which was sung by Miss Gladys Wright and danced 'by the pupils, was applauded with great enthusiasm.

A feature of the evening was the graceful skirt dance, danced to the music of the "Blue Danube," performed by Miss Rona. Edwards. During the evening spnss were rendered by Mr. Len Barnes, Misses Margaret Yi uiig, Rona Edwards, and Gladys Wright. Numerous bouquets and gifts were handed to the performers at the close of the performance.
