WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the - following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: —
Strong east to north-east winds to gales. Weather will be dull and misty, with rain, including some heavy falls, probable. Seas rough to liigh on the east coast and rough off shore on the west coast. An anti-cyclone covers the South Island, but a depression is centred north-west of Cape Maria Van Diemen. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north-east, fresh; sea, moderate; weather, cl-oudy with mist and rain; visibility, fair; barometer, steady. ■ ___________
