CANADA'S TRADE.
DUMPING DUTIES REMOVED. (Received 11.30 a.m.) OTTAWA, December 11. Dumping duties based on arbitrary valuations against British goods- will be discontinued, the Department of Kational Revenue announced, thus terminating one phase of the long dispute between the importers of British goods and the Department. The broadening of the definition of the word "direct" as applied to shipments to Canada from other parts of the Empire having trade treaties with Canada is also announced, and the effect of this will be to permit goods en route to Canada to enjoy the benefits of treaty rates if transhipped in any British country.
